To promote the adoption of the Smart Site Safety System (4S) and advance the digital transformation of construction site safety management, the Hong Kong Institute of Construction (HKIC) has launched a Subsidy Scheme for its Smart Site Safety course series. The initiative aims to encourage construction industry practitioners to acquire professional knowledge and practical skills in smart safety technologies, thereby enhancing overall site safety standards.
The scheme covers the following courses:
- Certificate in Safe Operation of Remote-Control Tower Cranes
- Professional Certificate in Smart Site Safety System Planning and Implementation
- Certificate in Smart Site Safety System Safety Supervision
Trainees who successfully complete any of the above courses and meet all graduation requirements will be entitled to a full reimbursement of the course tuition fee. Eligible graduates will also receive a subsidy, providing further incentive for industry practitioners to strengthen their knowledge and skills in Smart Site Safety Systems.
Through this initiative, HKIC hopes to encourage wider adoption of Smart Site Safety Systems across the construction industry, strengthen practitioners’ competencies in smart safety management, and support the development of safer and smarter construction sites.
