To raise mental health awareness among students, the Student Development Department invited Mr YIK Chun Kit, an Education Officer of The Mental Health Association of Hong Kong, to deliver a Talk on Mental Health First Aid for about 150 students from the Certificate in Construction and Diploma in Construction programmes at Sheung Shui Campus on 9 August 2023. Through the talk, students recognised the causes of stress and its management skills, myths of common mental illness, as well as mental health support services provided by social service agencies in Hong Kong. This enabled students to alert the signs of mental illness at an early stage and improve their well-being.
