To help about 300 newly admitted students from HKIC’s full-time long programmes adapt to campus life, the Student Development (SD) Department organised the "HKIC Orientation Week" in September 2023 at the Kowloon Bay and Sheung Shui campuses. The event aimed to introduce the various services and facilities provided by SD, such as whole person development activities, student counselling services, the Learning Resource Centre, and physical training programmes. In addition, the Orientation Week also offered diverse welcoming activities for those students, including orientation day camp, adventure-based training camps, and training workshops for volunteer service project, it aims to help students make friends in the campus, build a sense of team spirit, set their learning goals in an early stage, and cultivate a sense of social responsibility and community service.
