Hello, I am Ivan Chan, competitor for the trade of Plumbing and Heating in the 2024 Lyon WorldSkills. I’m engaging in the skills training since 2023, and it will last for over a year.

Since September, I’ve participated in various training organized by CIC Team, includes visit to the 2nd Vocational Skills Competition, and sharing with the first Hong Kong gold medalist of the WorldSkills Competition.

CIC Team paid a visit to Tianjin – The 2nd Vocational Skills Competition, all Chinese competitors demonstrated their best skills during the competitions. And the heat atmosphere of the competition greatly ignited our determination of trade skill improvement.

" Your attitude, not your aptitude, will determine your altitude.”. It reminded us that attitude is a key of success. By this opportunity, we learned that the importance of positive thinking. In the future, we will participate in a series of soft skills training to build our mental strength.

Moreover, we had a great chance to learn from the first Hong Kong gold medalist of the WorldSkills Competition 2022 Special Edition about her attitude to strive for excellence in the training and competition.

In the future, we will continue to dedicate ourselves in the training and strike for the best to achieve outstanding results for Hong Kong.
