In response to the “National Security Education Day”, as well as to enhance students' understanding of national security and their sense of national identity, flag-raising ceremonies were held at the Kowloon Bay, Sheung Shui, and Kwai Chung campuses respectively on 15 April 2024. In addition, Ms. Hazel Wong, Senior Training Officer of the Hong Kong Army Cadets Association, was invited to deliver a talk on “Holistic Approach to National Security” to students from the three campuses. The talk provided in-depth information on the “Holistic Approach to National Security” introduced by President Xi Jinping, covering core essence including “One Overall Goal”, “Twenty Major Fields of Security”, “Five Essential Elements”, and “Five Coordination Tasks”, aiming to cultivate students as law-abiding citizens who safeguard national security and social stability.
