The WorldSkills Competition is going to take place at Lyon, France this September. The competitors are currently preparing for the competition through regular practice. Dr. Morgan YANG, Director of the Hong Kong Institute of Construction (HKIC), and Mr. William HO, Head of Sheung Shui Campus of HKIC, met the competitors in Concrete Construction Work, Joinery, Painting and Decorating, Plumbing and Heating, as well as Wall and Floor Tiling last week to check on their training progress and extend their best wishes to the competitors.

The competitors shared their training and difficulties, as well as their work and mood during the preparation to Dr. YANG and Mr. HO. The experts showed the marking scheme and how the team assisted the competitors in improving their skills. Dr. YANG encouraged the competitors to confront obstacles and strengthen their confidence, while Mr. Ho reminded the competitors to take good care of themselves, stay hydrated and get good rest during the competition. Dr. YANG will be going to Lyon in September to support the competitors to achieve excellence in the WorldSkills Competition. Let’s show our support to the competitors together!
