According to the Hong Kong Observatory’s forecast, local weather conditions are expected to deteriorate rapidly later tomorrow (23 September). The Observatory may consider issuing the No. 8 Gale or Storm Signal between 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. tomorrow. Adverse weather is expected to persist on 24 September.
To ensure student safety by avoiding travel during potentially severe weather conditions, the Hong Kong Institute of Construction announces that all classes will be suspended on 23 September and 24 September. All outdoor Training Grounds will also be temporarily closed.
The Trade Testing Center's half-day trade test scheduled for the morning of 23 September will proceed as planned, while the all-day trade test and the afternoon trade test will be postponed. The Center will be closed on 24 September.
Students are advised to remain vigilant and stay in safe places at all time.

The Annual Student Sports Day concluded successfully at North District Sports Ground on 24 March 2025. Students and staff engaged in various events, including running, long jump, high jump, shot put, and softball throw, showcasing their teamwork and sportsmanship.
In response to the CIC’s commitment to enhancing construction safety during the “Year of Professionalism”, this year's sports day continued to feature “Construction Safety Relay Race”. During the competition, participants not only competed for speed but also demonstrated their safety knowledge by wearing suitable personal protective equipment, enhancing their understanding of the best safety practices in the industry.
Ir Prof. Thomas HO, Chairman of the CIC, was present to support the participants and served as a judge for the “Construction Safety Relay Race”. He encouraged students to uphold the spirit of “Safety First” and “Pursuit of Excellence” in their future careers, striving to achieve the goal of zero accidents in the construction industry.
