To strengthen students' environmental awareness, the Kowloon Bay campus and the Student Development Department invited Mr. Philip CHOW from the Hong Kong Construction Services Association to deliver a talk on "Waste Reduction at Source” on 20 May 2025. During the talk, Mr. CHOW provided an in-depth explanation of Hong Kong’s Climate Action Plan 2050 and the government’s four key strategies for carbon reduction. He highlighted the vital role of waste reduction and clean recycling in fostering sustainable development.
Mr. CHOW also shared practical waste reduction tips, guiding students on how to apply clean recycling effectively in their daily routines. The talk featured a lively interactive quiz that encouraged active participation from both students and staff, demonstrating their strong dedication to environmental stewardship. This successful event significantly enhanced the campus-wide environmental consciousness, motivating the entire community to actively contribute toward a sustainable future.
