According to the Hong Kong Observatory’s forecast, local weather conditions are expected to deteriorate rapidly later tomorrow (23 September). The Observatory may consider issuing the No. 8 Gale or Storm Signal between 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. tomorrow. Adverse weather is expected to persist on 24 September.
To ensure student safety by avoiding travel during potentially severe weather conditions, the Hong Kong Institute of Construction announces that all classes will be suspended on 23 September and 24 September. All outdoor Training Grounds will also be temporarily closed.
The Trade Testing Center's half-day trade test scheduled for the morning of 23 September will proceed as planned, while the all-day trade test and the afternoon trade test will be postponed. The Center will be closed on 24 September.
Students are advised to remain vigilant and stay in safe places at all time.

To promote skills exchange and enhance capabilities, our WorldSkills team travelled to Zhengzhou, Henan from 19 to 22 September 2025 to observe the 3rd Vocational Skills Competition of the People's Republic of China, experiencing the training and competitive strength of Chinese talents in vocational skills.
The team explore a wide range of skill competitions, including Bricklaying, Cabinetmaking, Concrete Construction Work, Joinery, Painting and Decorating, Plumbing and Heating, Wall and Floor Tiling, and welding. They were impressed by the exceptional skills and relentless determination of Chinese competitors. They also took the opportunity to exchange ideas with trainers and competitors from different provinces, gaining valuable insights and exploring diverse training approaches. These insights will be instrumental as they gear up for the WorldSkills Competition next year, striving for excellence!
