To promote responsible online behavior and strengthen students’ awareness of self‑protection, the Student Development Department organised a talk titled “Stepping Out of the Cyberbullying Trap: Protect Yourself and Respect Others” at the Sheung Shui Campus on 19 December 2025.
Ms. Leong Wai‑sum, lawyer and founder of the non‑profit organisation, The Fountain of Hope Limited, was invited as the guest speaker. Through real‑life examples and interactive discussions, Ms. Leong shared practical ways to safeguard personal privacy online, avoid falling into cyberbullying traps, and respond appropriately to such situations while understanding the relevant legal implications. The talk attracted about 130 students from the Diploma and Certificate in Construction programmes.
The inspiring talk not only equipped students with valuable online safety knowledge but also encouraged them to reflect on empathy, respect, and responsibility in the digital world. The event concluded in a warm and engaging atmosphere, inspiring students to help create a safer and more respectful online community.
