To support the CIC WorldSkills Team in achieving outstanding results, the Hong Kong Instiute of Construction (HKIC) recently invited Dr. FUNG Kin-keung, former Board Member of WorldSkills International, to conduct a sharing session with experts, trainers, interpreters and competitors.
Dr. FUNG analysed the landscape of participating countries and regions of WorldSkills, the training approaches adopted by top‑performing teams, key scoring strategies and effective communication techniques. He also shared practical advice on handling unexpected situations during the competition, empowering competitors to stay calm and resilient under pressure.
The session broadened the team’s international perspective and enhanced their preparedness for the WorldSkills Competition. Beyond refining their skills, they developed new insights into strategic planning, communication skills and psychological readiness, further strengthening their confidence and performance on the WorldSkills stage.
