The HKIC Football Team was invited to participate in the 2026 Lunar New Year Cup organised by China State Construction Engineering Corporation, held on 22 March and 12 April 2026. The team delivered an outstanding performance throughout the tournament, rising to the challenge in the final match with exceptional teamwork, unwavering determination, and unified effort. They ultimately secured a convincing 3–0 victory, claiming the championship title and bringing honour to HKIC.

On the match day, Ir Prof. Thomas HO, Chairman of the CIC, and Mr. George AU, Principal of the Kwai Chung Campus, were present to cheer on the team and share in their joy of victory, creating an uplifting and memorable atmosphere.

This remarkable achievement was made possible by the team members' close collaboration and continuous, systematic training. It demonstrates students’ diverse talents beyond academic and professional studies, as well as their fighting spirit and perseverance, fully reflecting HKIC’s commitment to whole-person development education.
