The CIC, in collaboration with the Skills Competitions Office of WorldSkills Hong Kong, successfully organised the 2026 Hong Kong Junior Skills Competition in Joinery. This initiative serves as a vital platform to promote the heritage of fine joinery and raise awareness of the WorldSkills Competition among secondary school students.

Throughout the competition, participants demonstrated exceptional dedication, applying their technical training with remarkable precision. From marking and measuring to tenoning, every detail reflected the professional standards, showcasing true professionalism in Joinery.

Tasked with completing their test project within a demanding five-hour timeframe, these young talents pushed the boundaries of both time and technique. Their performance fully demonstrated the skill, dedication, and passion of the new generation of young craftsmen, they highlighted the immense potential of our local talent, the ultimate benchmark awaits.
