The HKIC recently hosted the “2026 Friendly Skills Competition”, allowing competitors to sharpen their skills and exchange insights with top-tier peers! The intensive event brought together competitors from Team China and Team Chinese Taipei to compete against our competitor in Painting and Decorating. Top talent from Team China was also invited to participate in the Bricklaying competition, fostering professional exchanges.

Our Executive Director, Ir Albert CHENG, and Dr. Morgan YANG, Director of the HKIC, officiated the kick-off ceremonies for the Painting and Decorating and Bricklaying competitions respectively. They also observed the competitors’ outstanding skills and professionalism.

After several days of intense competitions, all competitors demonstrated their full potential in terms of skill and efficiency, showcasing their training achievements and professional standards. Beyond the technical rivalry, this event served as an invaluable platform for cross-regional learning and cultural exchange. It has significantly broadened the horizons of our competitors, inspiring them to adopt international best practices and continuously strive for excellence.
