The Hong Kong Institute of Construction (HKIC) Football Team was invited to participate in the Corporate Category of the “LAT Invitational Cup 2026”, organised by LBRO on 27 June 2026. The event aimed to promote sportsmanship through football while strengthening connections and fostering friendship between HKIC and its industry partners.

During the group stage, the HKIC team faced a lineup of strong opponents. Through outstanding teamwork and determination, the team finished third in its group and advanced to the Plate Division. In the knockout rounds, the players gave their all in a series of intense matches, ultimately securing a decisive 3-0 victory in the third-place playoff to claim the second runner-up title in the Plate Division.

Throughout the tournament, the team members demonstrated excellent teamwork, resilience, and unwavering determination, gaining valuable experience in technical skill, tactical execution, and mental resilience. This success will inspire the team to continue striving for excellence, aiming for even greater achievements in future competitions to bring honour to HKIC.
