To promote the spirit of craftsmanship, the Student Development Department organised the “Lo Pan Festival” lunchtime activities from 22 to 24 July 2026 at the Kowloon Bay, Sheung Shui, and Kwai Chung campuses, attracting the enthusiastic participation of around 130 students and staff members.
The event featured an interactive puzzle game titled "Lo Pan’s Inventions," offering an engaging way for students to learn about Master Lo Pan’s contributions to craftsmanship. Through assembling and identifying traditional tools such as the ink line, hand saw, wood plane, and carpenter’s square, participants gained insight into their practical uses and underlying technical wisdom. In addition, thematic display boards highlighted Master Lo Pan’s life, as well as the origins and cultural significance of the Lo Pan (Master) Festival, deepening students understanding of the construction industry's history and heritage.
The event not only enhanced students’ knowledge of Master Lo Pan and traditional craftsmanship, but also helped them appreciate the core values of the craftsmanship spirit—dedication, professionalism, and the pursuit of excellence—thereby fostering a stronger sense of identity in the culture and professionalism of the construction industry.
