We strive to provide students with diversified services and developmental activities to boost their confidence.
Hong Kong Institute of Construction (HKIC) has been providing quality construction training in Hong Kong for over 50 years.
In September 2026, the HKIC held the Orientation Week across the Kowloon Bay and Sheung Shui Campuses. The event aimed to assist new students enrolled in full-time long programmes in transitioning smoothly into campus life and equipping themselves for the academic journey ahead.
The week featured a diverse array of experiential activities, including an Adventure-based Training Day Camp, an Occupational Safety Education Workshop, and a Volunteer Training Workshop. Through collaborative team challenges, participants built self-confidence and interpersonal communication skills, developed a stronger awareness of safety culture within the construction industry, and cultivated a heart for community involvement and social care.
Additionally, students were introduced to the comprehensive support services and enrichment opportunities offered by the Student Development Department. These encompass whole-person development initiatives, professional student counselling, access to the Learning Resources Centre, and physical training courses—enabling students to fully leverage campus resources for personal and professional growth.
Through these orientation activities, students built meaningful friendships, established a strong sense of belonging, and enhanced their spirit of teamwork and safety consciousness—setting a positive and purposeful foundation for the new academic year.
