The Hong Kong Institute of Construction (HKIC) Football Team was invited to participate in the LAT Cup Autumn 2026, organised by LBRO, on 19 October 2026. The tournament aimed to promote sportsmanship through football while strengthening connections and fostering friendship between HKIC and its industry partners.

During the group stage, the HKIC team competed against a number of corporate teams and successfully advanced to the Plate Competition knockout stage through excellent teamwork, a positive and determined attitude, and perseverance. Building on their strong performance, the team maintained their momentum in the knockout stage, with the players giving their best and demonstrating impressive technical ability and team cohesion in both attack and defence. After a series of competitive matches, the HKIC team finished with an impressive record of three wins, one draw and one loss, ultimately claiming the Plate Championship and bringing honour to the HKIC.

Throughout the tournament, the players not only demonstrated outstanding teamwork and a never-give-up spirit, but also gained valuable competitive experience through exchanges with and competing against different teams. The experience further enhanced their technical skills, adaptability during matches and mental resilience.

The championship is a testament to the team’s continued hard work and dedication, and will inspire the players to uphold the spirit of teamwork, perseverance and the pursuit of excellence. The team looks forward to achieving further success in future competitions and bringing further honour to HKIC.
