Enhance the Training Support to the Construction Industry
With the support of the Development Bureau, the Construction Industry Council will allocate additional resources and collaborate with construction associations, contractors and subcontractors to launch enhancement measures. These initiatives aim to support unemployed or underemployed construction workers by improving their skills or acquiring new technics, thereby expanding their employment opportunities.
1. Construction Industry Recruitment Day Details
Date:28th October, 2025(Tuesday)
Time:10:00 am – 5:00 pm
Venue:CIC Service Centres(Address:44 Tai Yip Street, Kowloon Bay)

2. "Multi-Skilled" Training Courses
Registered semi-skilled or skilled workers who wish to obtain certification in an additional trade may do so through the “Multi-skilled" Training Scheme. This initiative enables them to acquire an additional craft and broaden their career options, particularly the trades that are currently in high market demand.
The admission requirement for the scheme will be enhanced from “one year of relevant industry experience” to “one year of construction industry experience.” HKIC will fully subsidize the tuition fees and increase the graduation allowance, thereby encouraging more workers who are motivated to upgrade their skills to participate in the training.

3. “Skills Enhancement” Courses
General workers or those holding semi-skilled worker qualifications may enrol in the “Skill Enhancement” courses to equip themselves and improve their skills. Semi-skilled workers may also take these courses to upgrade to skilled worker, thereby enhancing their future employment opportunities.
The “Skill Enhancement” courses will also enhanced the subsidy and disbursement arrangements.
