The Development Bureau and the Construction Industry Council (CIC) have been adopting a multi-pronged strategy to address the manpower demand of the construction industry. In addition to the Intermediate Tradesman Collaborative Training Scheme (Skills Enhancement Courses) Special Class of "Multi-skills" launched earlier, the Advanced Construction Manpower Training Scheme - Pilot Scheme (Skills Enhancement Courses) Special Class of "Multi-skilled” will be launched in May 2025 to encourage workers to receive training in another trade and upgrade their skills to senior craftsmen.

- Eligible employees” in Hong Kong (i.e. persons legally residing in Hong Kong who are free to be employed or work without conditions, including Hong Kong permanent residents and new arrivals); and
- Has obtained other relevant work trade of the intermediate trade test certificate or trade test certificate qualification; and
- Registered as registered semi-skilled workers or registered skilled workers under Construction Workers Registration Ordinance (non-relevant work trade); and
- With at least 4-year relevant working experience (verified by the training bodies); and
- Has not taken the courses offered or funded by the CIC and HKIC over one year prior to application.
