The “STEAM × BIM Construction Model Creative Design Competition 2026” aims to integrate STEAM education with construction technology. Through Building Information Modelling (BIM), animation creation and 3D printing technology, students will transform their creative ideas into physical models, while deepening their understanding of innovative construction technology, architecture and engineering.
The theme of the competition is “Climatic Adaptive Infrastructure”. Participating teams will take on the role of “future habitat architects” to design a future home that can flexibly adapt to different climate conditions, such as extreme heat, heavy rain, and strong winds. Students are required to combine creative thinking, BIM, artificial intelligence, and other construction technologies to explore architectural solutions that are adaptive, safe, and sustainable. They should also explain how their designs address the living challenges caused by climate change.
