Hong Kong Institute of Construction (HKIC) has been providing quality construction training in Hong Kong for over 50 years.
The 48th WorldSkills Competition, hailed as the "Skills Olympics", is set to take place in Shanghai in September 2026. This year, the CIC is fielding a team of nine outstanding competitors to represent Hong Kong across eight trades, including Bricklaying, Cabinetmaking, Concrete Construction Work, Joinery, Painting and Decorating, Plumbing and Heating, Wall and Floor Tiling and Welding. Each competitor has undergone rigorous selection and extensive training, demonstrating the legacy of Craftsmanship and the development of innovation in Hong Kong’s construction industry on the global stage.
To support our young talents, the CIC and the Hong Kong Institute of Construction are hosting the "WorldSkills Competition 2026 Construction Skills Showcase" at Citywalk 2 from 29 May to 3 June 2026. Under the theme "World-Class Skills, Building the World", the event features interactive exhibitions and technical demonstrations to showcase the modern development and craftsmanship of the construction industry.
