Statement: Beware of Collaboration Invitations NOT Endorsed by the Hong Kong Institute of Construction

The Hong Kong Institute of Construction (“HKIC”) has become aware that certain individuals or organisations have sent product or service promotional materials and collaboration invitations to schools working with HKIC, referring in their emails to the ‘STEAM × BIM Construction Model Creative Design Competition’ for Hong Kong Secondary Schools organised by HKIC.

HKIC hereby clarifies that such invitations were not issued by HKIC. Even if an email copies HKIC or refers to HKIC by name, the products, services or proposed collaborations mentioned therein have not been endorsed, supported or authorised by HKIC.

For any activity endorsed, supported or co-organised by HKIC, the relevant schools and parties will be contacted and provided with confirmation through HKIC’s official channels. Anyone who has questions about communications claiming to be related to an HKIC activity is advised to contact HKIC for verification.

HKIC will continue to monitor the situation closely and take appropriate follow-up action.
