Case study of confined space accidents; Review on Related Confined Space Regulations and Code of Practices; Safe System-of-work; Appreciation of the particular nature and working environment of DSD confined space operations and identification of the potential hazards; Risk assessment and permit-to-work system for confined space operations including handling of emergency situations; Practical and Written Tests.

1. Applicant should possess a valid “Certificate of Confined Space Competent Person” (Must hold at the time of course application and on the day of attendance.). 2. Applicant must have at least one year confined space risk assessment experience (Starting from the date of application, the certificate must have been issued for more than one year). 3. Applicant should be lawfully employable in Hong Kong, i.e. (a) Holder of Hong Kong Permanent Identity Card; or (b) Person who is not subject to any conditions of stay in Hong Kong that he shall not take up any paid or unpaid employment in Hong Kong.
